You’ll need transportation to and from the conference hotel (Embassy Suites by Hilton Boston Waltham, 550 Winter Street, Waltham, Massachusetts 02451), restaurants, and attractions.
Why so far from Boston? The $149 sleeping room rate is much cheaper than in the city (usually $300+/night). A free hot breakfast is included, and parking is just $10/night (often $60+ in the city). No resort fee!
Public Transportation: Boston is very commuter-friendly. Save money by taking public transit from the airport to your hotel and to sightseeing. Subway and bus routes serving Logan Airport are run by the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA, or “the T”). Use the MBTA’s interactive subway map to check current routes and times. Note: service is limited on Saturdays.
GO Boston Shuttle: Picks you up at Logan and drops you at your hotel for around $30. Reserve online or call 1-888-437-4379. Uber or Lyft may be less expensive.
Taxis: Available at Logan terminals 24/7. Metered rates from Logan to Boston-area hotels run about $25–$50, plus a $2.25 airport fee and a $5.25 harbor tunnel toll where applicable. Ask for a receipt with the driver’s name, company, fare, and medallion number.
Parking: $10/day at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Boston Waltham (normally $15).
